DeSoto ISD is proud to announce the introduction of afterschool programming for scholars in our school community.
Beginning in October 2021, families will have the opportunity to apply for enrichment-based after-school care at all district elementary campuses. Once the application window is open, the spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis for inclusion in the DeSoto ISD Eagles Nest After School Enrichment program.
Additionally, based on needs identified through a review of students' academic assessments, families will receive an invitation for their child to take part in academic tutoring at select campuses. This afterschool tutoring opportunity, funded by the City of DeSoto, will also extend services to non-DeSoto ISD scholars who live in DeSoto.
Transportation and snacks will be provided as an added support for students engaged in the City Tutoring program.
