DeSoto ISD invites the DeSoto ISD school community to attend its inaugural Districtwide Family Fitness Night on Thursday, May 9, from 6-8 pm at the DeSoto High School Multipurpose Center located at 600 Eagle Drive.

This event is hosted by the DeSoto ISD Physical Education and Health Department and is designed as a family fun evening that will promote nutrition, physical activity, and emotional and social wellness with plenty of activities for all members of the family.

This evening is designed to help families to make healthier connections and to connect with the community.

During the evening, families can expect to enjoy vendor stations, participate in fitness sessions, engage in health talks, enjoy food sampling sessions, receive health screenings, and more. 

“Total wellness is important for our students, staff, and families,” said Wendy Robinson, district wellness program coordinator. “We want to create positive opportunities for health-enhancing experiences in the areas of nutrition, fitness, and overall mental health.”

The event is open to all DeSoto ISD students, families, and members of the community.
